UPDATE | Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Clearfield County Coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder has released the identity of the individual whose body was found at a local park earlier this week.
The coroner's office says the body of 40-year-old Edward Schmidt was found Tuesday afternoon at Woodland Park.
An autopsy is being conducted Thursday but authorities believe that Schmidt died as a result of a drug overdose.
Shaffer-Snyder says Schmidt's official cause of death is pending the results of the autopsy and a toxicology report.
JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — The Johnstown Mill Rats announced Friday that former Pittsburgh Pirates' catcher Michael McKenry and his wife, Jaclyn, have joined the ownership group of the team.
The future of the team was left "up in the air" last fall after the Prospect League reportedly removed the Mill Rats from its website.
In November, the team's management dispelled the uncertainty by stating that the organization planned to stay in Johnstown, as part of the Prospect League, with new ownership.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Two students at a Catholic high school in Philadelphia who allegedly were responsible for a racist video that showed teenage white girls in blackface “are not present in school” and are being disciplined, according to school officials.
The video, which was circulated on social media this week, sparked a protest Wednesday at St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls. The protesters included parents of two former students who told The Philadelphia Inquirer their children faced a hostile and unwelcoming climate because they were Black.
BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A Chestnut Ridge school official accused of failing to properly report allegations of sexual assault involving a middle school student appeared in court Wednesday where some of his charges were withdrawn or dismissed.

Crews responded to a Cessna down around 1:30 p.m. A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) official said Sunday that the plane was a Piper PA-34 aircraft and that it crashed one mile north of Ebensburg Airport around 1:45 p.m. Saturday with four people on board. Altoona police said they have a warrant for Scott Borgess. They said he’s the man seen in surveillance video at Thompson's Pharmacy before approaching the victim as she left the store.
