Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — According to a press release, the team from the popular TV show "American Pickers" recently made a stop in Central Pennsylvania where they interviewed a Blair County business owner.
The "American Pickers" crew visited with Glenn Ray, the owner of G&R Excavating and Demolition in Tyrone.

Following a two-day trial, officials say Douglas Albert was convicted Thursday on most of the charges he faced, which included rape of an unconscious victim, sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault.
Police charged Albert last July after he was accused of assaulting the woman while she was staying at a friend's apartment.
TIONESTA - Goodwill Industries of North Central Pennsylvania held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday at its newest store located inside a grocery store.

In 1893, Dr. Daniel Hale Williams performed the first successful open-heart surgery in the world.
He was born in Hollidaysburg in 1856.
Hollidaysburg Mayor Joe Dodson says Dr. Williams followed his father's footsteps and became a barber in Chicago.
Williams eventually worked his way into Chicago medical school, and later opened a hospital in the city.
Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — UPMC Altoona will be hosting a "healthy living fair" on Saturday, in the lower level of the Blair County Convention Center.
