China to draw 'separation line' on peak of Mount Everest

BEIJING (AP) — China will draw a "separation line" atop Mount Everest to prevent the coronavirus from being spread by climbers ascending Nepal's side of the mountain, Chinese state media reported Monday. A team of Tibetan mountaineering guides will set up the separation line at the peak before climbers attempt to reach the summit from the Chinese side, the official Xinhua News Agency said. It was not clear what the separation line would be made of.

FCC upholds license revocation of former Somerset County radio host Roger Wahl

State Hospital escapee sentenced to 22 years after pleading guilty to multiple felonies

Tomahawks drop playoff opener in OT

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The Johnstown Tomahawks dropped the first game of their opening playoff series Friday night. After the Tomahawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead, the New Jersey Titans roared back to tie the game in the second period. After a scoreless third, Game 1 would go to overtime, with the Titans winning an opening round thriller. The Tomahawks will look to keep their season alive Saturday in Game 2.

Indiana Co. man to serve decades behind bars for role in 2016 double murder

Indiana County, PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General say an Indiana County man will serve decades in prison after pleading guilty in a 2016 double murder case. Prosecutors say 25-year-old Nathaniel Price entered the plea, earlier this week, to two counts of third-degree murder in the deaths of Timothy Gardner and Jaqueline Brink. Price and two others, Justin Stevenson and Isaiah Scott, were charged in 2016 after the couple was found dead inside their Cherryhill Township home.

Pilot hurt in small plane crash at Arnold Palmer airport

LATROBE - The pilot of a small plane that crashed at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport has been flown to a Pittsburgh hospital. The executive director of the Westmoreland County Airport Authority says Doug Splitstone was taken to the hospital as a precaution. He was the only one aboard the Piper Warrior when it crashed about 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane was doing practice maneuvers when it flipped over into a grassy infield.

Pittsburgh-area man fondled sleeping woman on flight

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- A Pittsburgh-area man has been charged with fondling a sleeping woman who sat next to him on a flight from Las Vegas. Fifty-eight-year-old Wei-Ming Shi, of Mount Lebanon, is charged with one count of unlawful sexual contact on an aircraft during flight. An FBI criminal complaint says Shi was returning from Las Vegas on a Southwest Airlines flight on Thursday when he put his hands under the sleeping woman's dress and on her thigh and buttocks.
