Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — A Johnstown area man accused of tying up and assaulting multiple women inside a home in the Prospect section of the city has been sentenced.
Authorities with the Cambria County DA's office confirmed that Daniel Boyer was sentenced Wednesday to 15 to 30 months in prison, followed by 12 months probation, after pleading guilty to three separate counts of unlawful restraint.
At Count 6, Unlawful Restraint (M1), 9-18 months in the Cambria County PrisonAt Count 7, Unlawful Restraint (M1), 6-12 months in the Cambria County Prison followed by 12 months probation, to be served consecutively (after) his sentence at Count 6.

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — The Bedford County Historical Society is preparing to bestow its annual “Historian of the Year Award” to Kevin Mearkle at its upcoming award banquet.
He spent the last four years working on a book titled “Civil War Soldiers of Bedford County.”
The work compiles more than 4,200 Civil War veterans that lived in the county.
Mearkle says that it’s an honor to receive the award and be part of the preservation of these stories.
WEST CHESTER, Ohio (WKRC) — A longtime teacher was killed in a triple-fatal crash in Ohio leaving many with heavy hearts. Nicole Pelton taught at Ross Middle School for 22 years, WKRC learned from the school district Pelton worked for. Nicole, Patrick Pelton and Gregory Meyer were killed in crash in West Chester on Sunday. Meyer was reportedly driving the wrong way at the time of the crash. Police received multiple 911 calls about a speeding SUV.
JOHNSTOWN - State police in Ebensburg said Patrick Knapp of Johnstown died Monday morning in a crash in Cambria County.
Knapp, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene by Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees.
Police said Knapp's Chevrolet Colorado truck was traveling west on Route 56 in Dale Borough. His vehicle left the road near the Bedford Street exit ramp and rolled over several times around 11:04 a.m.
Knapp was not wearing his seat belt, police said.
Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities say one of two individuals charged in connection to the death of a Johnstown area man whose body was found dumped along a local roadway over the summer will soon head to trial after pleading not guilty in the case.
Officials say Justin Green appeared in court earlier this week where he entered the plea to all the charges he is facing, which include criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse.
