JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A Cambria County doctor was sentenced Monday for the role investigators say he played in the death of a former patient. Authorities say 65-year-old Richard Green, of Windber, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of involuntary manslaughter in October. They say he also pleaded guilty to violating the “provider prohibited acts” section of Title 62 of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code. Green was originally charged with one count of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death; one count of Delivery by Practitioner in violation of the Controlled Substances, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act; one count of Involuntary Manslaughter, and related charges, according to investigators.

SOMERSET – A homicide investigation is underway after an inmate was found dead inside his prison cell Tuesday at the State Correctional Institution at Somerset. Officials said Wednesday that homicide charges have been filed against another inmate, Dale Wakefield, in the death Joshua Perry. Authorities said Wakefield and Perry – both 25 - were in the same cell together when the incident happened. According to a criminal complaint, Perry was found under his bed in his cell with his hands tied around his back and a sheet around his neck.
